How to get to the Monomakh Hotel in Vladimir?
From the train station of Vladimir:
You will arrive at the train station or at the bus station right across the street from it, if you
- arrive by train or
- arrive by bus from the central bus station in Moscow (metro Ùåëêîâñêàÿ/Shchelkovskaya)
You may either:
a) Take trolleybus no. 5 from the bus stop on the square next to the station. Get off at “Çîëîòûå âîðîòà/Zolotie Vorota” (=Golden Gate) and cross the road to the side of the theatre. Gogol Street lies on the right side of the theatre, between the theatre and a catholic church (red bricks) . Walk down the street for about 100 meters and you’ll arrive at the Monomakh Hotel.
OR
b) Walk up the street facing the train station and take the stone steps to get to Bolshaya Moskovskaya Street. Cross the street to the bus stop on the other side, take bus no. 1, 5, 15, 22, 25 or 26 and get off at “Çîëîòûå âîðîòà/Zolotie Vorota”. Continue like in a): Cross the street, walk down Gogol street between the theatre and the catholic church and you’ll arrive at the Monomakh Hotel after about 100 meters.
Arriving by bus from the Kursky railway station in Moscow:
Arriving on bus from the Kursky railway station, you can get off directly at “Çîëîòûå âîðîòà/Zolotie Vorota” (=Golden Gate). You’ll find yourself right in front of the theatre. Gogol Street is on the right side of the theatre, between the theatre and a catholic church (red bricks) . Walk down the street for about 100 meters and you’ll arrive at the Monomakh Hotel.
Arriving by car from Moscow:
- Take the M7 motorway «Moscow – Nizhniy Novgorod» to get to Vladimir.
- Follow the signs to Vladimir. DON’T take the bypass leading to Nizhniy Novgorod, but enter the city by going along Lenin’s Avenue (Ïðîñïåêò Ëåíèíà/Prospekt Lenina).
- When you have passed the Taneyev Concert Hall on your right, you will find yourself on Studjonaya Gora Street.
- To your right there is a church (Archangel Mikhail Church). Turn right after the church and go down Dvoryanskaya Street (to your right will be a shopping mall).
- Turn right immediately after the Museum of Crystal ( a former church of red bricks, facing the Golden Gate).
- Drive along Kozlov Val, following our signpost at the road, down to Letneperevozinskaya Street.
- Take the first turn to the right onto Gogol Street. After 30 meters you will arrive at the Monomakh Hotel.
Arriving by car from Nizhniy Novgorod:
- Coming from Nizhniy Novgorod, you will pass through Bogolubovo.
- DON’T take the bypass leading to Moscow, but enter the city by going along Bolshaya Nizhegorodskaya Street. Go straight ahead until you arrive at the Golden Gate.
- Drive around the Golden Gate and take the road on the right immediately after the Museum of Crystal (= a former church of red bricks, facing the Golden Gate).
- Drive along Kozlov Val, following our signpost at the road, down to Letneperevozinskaya Street.
- Take the first turn to the right onto Gogol Street. After 30 meters you will arrive at the Monomakh Hotel.
